Fizzbuzz Comes Out to Play at #TOFICON2018
Team Fizzbuzz took part in the recently concluded TOFICON 2018 last December 01, 2018 at the 2F of Robinsons Galleria. TOFICON is an annual gathering of toy sellers, customizers, collectors, and enthusiasts.
It is by far, the largest of its kind in Cebu City and is spearheaded by Joshua Varela of Toys and Figures Convention Cebu Community. We took a bunch of snapshots from throughout the day and are sharing them here for you to get a glimpse into how our TOFICON 2018 experience went. Prepare for a lot of photos!

Fizzbuzz Booth
And front and center of this event was Fizzbuzz, Inc., who were co-presenters of the convention. And because we love geeking out on all things pop culture, the Fizzbuzz team set up camp with our own booth.

Our booth showcased dioramas of miniature movie sets, which recreated some of the scenes from our Stikbot stop-motion animation movies. All these tiny pieces are made by hand by the Fizzbuzz Animation Team.

Fun, Games, and Prizes
Booth visitors and friends also got to try their hand at the Fizzbuzz’s “Spin It to Win It” wheel, which had surprises awaiting the lucky spinners.

Stop-Motion Animation 101
Later in the day, the Fizzbuzz animation team took the stage for the Stop-Motion Animation 101 panel discussion. Ling, Debbie, and Marvs shared their expertise and experience in the process of creating stop-motion animation movies and later engaged with the attentive audience in the Q and A portion of the panel.

What’s Next
The event saw crowds from different age ranges, from kids to the kids-at-heart. Age does not really matter anyway when its a shared passion for play and for creativity.
The Fizzbuzz Team all enjoyed meeting and making new friends from the local toy community.
To all the new buddies we met at the convention, thanks for dropping by! We loved hearing about your ideas, hobbies, and projects and cannot wait to see them onscreen one of these days.

TOFICON 2018 showed us the huge potential for the next convention to be bigger and grander in scale. There definitely is a growing community that shares the same passion for creativity through play. And we are even more hyped looking forward to the next TOFICON!
